Dr. Nicola Kettle Transitions to Private Practice

Nicola is a founder of Open Sky and has played an important role in our growth and evolution as an organization. Nicola was a driving force behind our integration of naturopathic medicine into the existing wilderness therapy model and she has been a leader in integrating a wellness philosophy into the culture of Open Sky. Nicola has been a key member of the Wellness Weekend team, through creation of the weekend offering as well as the delivery of this most valuable aspect of our family program which now boasts nearly 100% participation from our parents. Nicola’s contribution on our marketing efforts through conference attendance, relationship development with our referring professionals and effective presentations have also benefited Open Sky in significant ways. For these contributions and so much more, I am deeply grateful.
Nicola’s perspective on healing and growth, rooted in naturopathic medicine, has had an indelible impact on our outlook of treating mental health and on the capacity for self-healing. She presented several times to professionals in our industry and was sought after for advice on everything from medical practices to nutrition planning.
Nicola’s plan is to open a private practice in Durango. In the interim, she is enjoying quality time with her new son and husband.
