Penney Sutcliffe Stahl, LPC

Family Services Therapist

Penney has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2002.  Her journey began in 1992, helping to heal families and youth in wilderness therapy as a field guide.  She has since worked with adjudicated youth, helping families navigate the criminal justice system and beyond.

Penny has counseled foster parents and youth experiencing the upheaval of being in foster care, and the biological parents who are mourning the loss of their child.  She has also worked in a residential mental health unit with people so ill they could not safely live alone. Penney has connected with youth at risk in an outreach program using snowboarding, and worked as a mountain bike and snowboard coach for women. In addition to her Family Services role at Open Sky, Penny is also currently engaged as an equine therapist.
