Sam Newbury, BA

Wilderness Guide

Sam has a deep passion for Wilderness Therapy, with a resume in the industry dating back to 2004. He brings this experience, along with compassion, and patience when working with students and families. These qualities have been strengthened immeasurably by his time in the wilderness.

Sam believes the wilderness allows us to let go of control, and in its place, clarity and courage are allow to take over. Actions, choices, and perspective become clear.

Many of the defining moments in Sam’s life have come from his work in the field of Wilderness Therapy. The moments of speaking from the heart, and the close bonds that form in such environments. Sharing his wedding vows and beginning his journey as a husband has been another incredibly defining moment of his life. When Sam isn’t working, he enjoys long-distance bicycle touring, letter writing, and exploring the snowy parts of the world.
