Barbara Ormond, RN

Health Director

Barbara Ormond is a licensed Registered Nurse with a BSW from Ball State University in Indiana and Nursing degree from Timaru School of Nursing in New Zealand. Her passion for wilderness and working with adolescents and young adults comes from her own experience as a kiwi, born and raised on the coast of New Zealand with the wild landscape as her own backyard.  Barbara comes with many years experience as an RN, 16 years as a Yoga Teacher and Massage Therapist and previous guiding experience with Open Sky.  Additionally, she has experiences of working with youth and young adults in the addictions and mental health realm.

Along with her nursing experience, Barbara brings an open heart and dedication to allowing nature to heal with the assistance of both natural, homeopathic and traditional medicines in the wilderness arena.
