Open Sky is excited to share that our team is participating in the Jason’s Day Virtual Charity Event throughout the month of October, and we encourage you to participate alongside us! This event is organized by the Jason William Hunt Foundation, which aims to both inform families in crisis of the value of wilderness therapy as well as provide financial assistance to help defray treatment costs. The Jason’s Day Virtual Charity Event is an opportunity for lovers of the outdoors to help support that mission.
How to Participate
If you would like to support families seeking wilderness treatment for a loved one, sign up by contributing a $40 entry fee and selecting Open Sky as your wilderness therapy program of choice. All proceeds allocated to Open Sky go directly to our scholarship fund for families seeking financial assistance. After signing up, you will receive a Jason’s Day t-shirt in the mail.
Then, pick any location and any day between October 1 and November 15 to enjoy your favorite outdoor activity while wearing your Jason’s Day t-shirt. Go for a quiet walk or trail run. Ride a bike over a mountain pass. Paddle a kayak down the river. Explore a cave. Sleep under the stars. Read your favorite book beneath a shady tree. The options are endless! Simply choose which activity you love to do while outside. Be sure to snap a photo of yourself enjoying your time outdoors and share it to social media to help spread awareness and raise funds.
