Open Sky is pleased to announce the launch of a new adolescent boys group lead by therapist, Brian Carr, MA, LPCC. Brian joined Open Sky’s clinical team in January 2017 as an Assistant Clinical Therapist. For the past year and a half, he has been immersed in Open Sky’s comprehensive therapist training and development program in preparation to lead his own group this spring. Brian’s training included months of shadowing and working alongside key therapists, providing vacation coverage, leading therapeutic groups, and facilitating Family Quests at Open Sky.
“Brian has been an integral part of the Open Sky Clinical Team for the past year and a half,” notes Dr. Tony Issenmann, Clinical & Family Services Director. “In addition to the extensive training he has received at Open Sky, Brian also brings to the position his experience as a senior wilderness therapy guide, where he logged almost 500 days in the field. His education, field guide experience, and clinical training position Brian to work well with our adolescent boys population. I’m excited for the families and students who have the opportunity to work with Brian!”
