Open Sky students have the opportunity to earn up to 3.5 academic credits in six high school subject areas: Environmental Science, Character Education, English, Life Management, Health Education, and Physical Education. Each student is provided an Open Sky Student Pathway workbook, which contains an integrated academic curriculum along with skill development and therapeutic assignments. The lessons are created to support each student’s education, challenge them to develop skills for academic and classroom success, and develop a sense of accomplishment and progress.
Many of our students have difficulties at school which may contribute to their challenges. Open Sky’s academic curriculum is part of the overall assessment, allowing our treatment team to better understand and observe how a student learns, processes information, organizes tasks, and more.
Transcripts and grades for completed credits are provided upon request at the completion of the program.
