The Open Sky approach transcends traditional wilderness therapy by emphasizing treatment for the whole family, not just the adolescent or young adult, and the application of evidence-based clinical modalities with well-researched holistic healing practices such as yoga, mediation and mindfulness. When a family partners with Open Sky, they embark on a rewarding adventure of self-discovery, and learn a range of strategies that promote lasting success.

Clinical Therapist – Position Details

Responsibilities include; carrying a caseload; providing individual and group therapy; facilitating weekly phone calls with parents and referral sources; delivering clinical training to field guides; marketing, including attending national conferences; working 2 days in the field (1 overnight) and 2 days in the office.

Clinical Therapist – Requirements

Clinical Ph.D., Psy.D., or Master’s level with extensive clinical experience. Background in working with family systems, young adults, adolescents. Licensed or able to be licensed in UT and CO. Wilderness therapy experience preferred. Open to mindfulness practices and holistic approaches to care. Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills. Interest in being part of a collaborative and highly integrated treatment team. Must be living in or willing to relocate to Durango, CO.
