Adar has a BA in liberal arts from St. John's College in Santa Fe, a master's degree in public health from New Mexico State University, and extensive training in therapeutic yoga. Adar has lived in the Four Corners area, minus a few stints back East with family, since 2008. The high mountains and scrubby desert feel like home. Adar is excited to support youth developing their own deep relationships to this beautiful land, since connection to wilderness has been an important part of their own resilience over the years.
Adar is joining Open Sky's Intake team, bringing diverse skills from years as a domestic violence advocate, a community health worker, a youth mentor, and a mindfulness facilitator.
Adar's other work and hobbies include hosting a radio show, teaching and writing about health equity, facilitating events, fumbling through DIY projects at her home in Mancos, and hiking and camping in her free time.
