Addy Ho, MA, LPC

Clinical Therapist - Adolescent Girls

Addy has a Master of Arts in community counseling and is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Colorado, Oregon, and Utah. She has been in the counseling field since 2006 and provided services in outpatient, in-home crisis intervention, residential, private practice, wilderness therapy, and community mental health settings. Addy has worked with adults, young adults, teenagers, children, and families. She specializes in trauma, chronic mental health issues like depression and anxiety, anger management, substance abuse, challenging treatment resistant clients, acute and complex clients, and people who struggle with maladaptive ways to cope with life. She enjoys working with clients on the spectrum and clients navigating gender and identity complexities. She is certified in brainspotting, a trauma-specific modality. Additionally, she uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and attachment theory with her clients.

Addy has been in the outdoor industry as a guide, course director, and program director (Outward Bound, REI Outdoor School, and a private wilderness adventure company) since 2009. She is passionate about staff care and helping staff be the best versions of themselves. Wilderness therapy is the perfect combination of her passions: the transformative nature of the wilderness and therapy.

Addy believes that people are made up of different emotional, intellectual, relational, and spiritual components that make them whole. The process of understanding how these pieces fit together is important to healthier boundaries and relationships. She provides insight and skills while walking alongside her clients. Addy provides a welcoming, encouraging, trustworthy, and honest perspective to life’s struggles. She believes that people have the internal strength to make lasting changes.

Addy enjoys the outdoors and is often accompanied by her golden doodles, Bella and Yeti.  She is always up for a road trip or adventure. She likes hanging out with friends, cooking, and playing cards and strategic board games.
