Blake Lamb, BA

Senior Guide

Psychology and how the mind works have always been fascinating topics to Blake. As he pursued psychology as a minor in college, it was a topic that bloomed into a passion. He has traveled to different parts of the world, learning from other cultures and their perspectives on connection, family, and relationships.

Blake was an Open Sky student in 2013. He is so grateful for the changes he was able to make through the program and promised he would one day come back and pay it forward. He joined the Open Sky team as a guide in October 2017 and is now a Senior Guide. Blake values the ability to make real change amongst the students and give them the skills to share and communicate their experience in ways that aren’t taught in schools or institutions.

Blake’s strengths on a guide team lie in his ability to balance deep, emotional work with light, playful energy. He drives those around him to strive for growth and also enjoy the journey along the way.

During his free time, Blake constantly strives for growth and enjoys learning about a vast array of topics, ranging from history, science, culture, and literature. He is an avid traveler and finds that each country he visits enriches his worldview as well as his perspective on life. He has traveled to and/or lived in more than 55 countries, always pursuing new experiences: from learning martial arts from Buddhist monks in China to kayaking with orca whales in the fjords of Patagonia.
