Open Sky welcomed Craig to the Operations Team in February 2017. Craig is a lifelong resident of Southwest Colorado and a member of the Navajo Nation. He grew up camping, hunting, fishing, and exploring in the Four Corners area. Craig Studied Philosophy and Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College in Durango. While living in the area and attending Fort Lewis, he has been blessed to be immersed in the wonderful diversity of this area.
Craig believes that the truth of a person can only be found in selfless service. He joined the Boy Scouts when he was eight years old and has been participating in the program for three decades. He was a leader, often planning and executing the program in many outdoor environments and a range of weather conditions. Craig has mentored other scouts from a multifaceted background. Additionally, He has counseled many families through difficult times. Through these experiences, he established a strong foundation in compassion, planning, leadership, instruction, and the drive to always help other people. These qualities show up in Craig every day as he fulfills his role as Operations Assistant at Open Sky.
Craig continually puts himself forward to be a resource, to be present, and to always be prepared for the needs of others. In his free time, he loves to explore nature with his wife and two children.
