Danit has been working in the field of outdoor education and leadership for five years, most recently as a guide for a Colorado-based Jewish wilderness therapy program called BaMidbar. Danit believes strongly in nature’s power to introduce a kind of vulnerability combined with the opportunity for building confidence. She also loves being outdoors and getting the chance to do so while having such a strong impact on others is a dream come true. Open Sky stood out to her for having one of the best cultures of strong community and care for one another, as well as a history of clinical experience and excellent policies and procedures.
She highly values supporting the students’ process, building relationships with them, and helping them reach goals they once thought were unreachable. Keeping morale high in times of stress and caring for the well-being of her co-guides are among Danit's strengths as a co-guide.
During her time off, Danit loves to ski, snowboard, mountain bike, swim, hike, and do just about anything that pushes her to her growth edge and gets her outside.
