Ellie Bolster, BA

Senior Guide

Ellie joined Open Sky as a guide in 2014 after gaining experience at another wilderness therapy program. She was drawn to Open Sky by its holistic approach, the depth of the program, and the therapeutic training and role that guides have. Ellie believes in the life-changing and healing power of wilderness therapy.

As a guide, Ellie values getting to know students personally and understanding their patterns. She has learned so much valuable, life-changing information in this role. She practices all of the skills she teaches the students, transforming her own communication, the way she views and treats herself, and her relationships with others.

Ellie is patient, a good listener, and always open to hearing input and ideas from her guide team. She is empathetic and good at looking beyond behaviors, seeking to understand the deeper issue.

When she isn’t working, Ellie enjoys hiking, drawing, reading, traveling, cooking, and hibernating in her cozy home.
