Georgia was raised in the valley of Arizona, where she grew up taking trips and exploring northern Arizona with her family. Because of this, she began cultivating a love for natural spaces and solitude from a young age. College brought her back up north where she got her undergraduate degree in Parks and Recreation Management from Northern Arizona University. During this time, she worked as a preschool teacher and developed a passion for helping to shape youth’s lives. Wilderness therapy seemed like a natural pairing of this and the outdoors, and she found herself in North Carolina as a senior field guide at another wilderness therapy program.
The call of the southwest and her family root system brought Georgia back. She joined Open Sky in 2019 as the Front Desk Administrator. She values being the first face that people see when coming through the doors and helping to keep a well-oiled machine running smoothly. She also values being a part of a hard-working and highly conscious team.
During down time, Georgia enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, mountain biking, listening to music, rock hounding, and searching for mid-century modern treasures in thrift shops.
