Jen Horinek

HR Administrator

Jen has been an integral part of the Open Sky HR team since 2022, with a strong commitment to fostering employee success and growth. Her interest in creating a supportive work environment was sparked during her time as an administrative assistant at a wilderness therapy program in Oregon. Witnessing the positive impact of wilderness therapy on clients, family, and staff fueled her passion for working in the industry. Joining Open Sky has provided Jen with the opportunity to continue her mission of supporting others and helping them thrive.

As a dedicated HR professional, she understands the critical role that effective support and management plays in an organization's success. Jen actively contributes to fostering a supportive and empowering work environment, applying tools that enhance employee engagement, development, and well-being. She values the strong connection to staff and the collaborative culture within Open Sky and works tirelessly to ensure that employees have the resources and support they need to excel.

Beyond her commitment to employee success, Jen finds joy in exploring the natural beauty of Durango and its surrounding areas with her dogs. Whether she's skiing down slopes, mountain biking the trails in the area, embarking on hiking adventures, or enjoying peaceful camping trips, she embraces the rejuvenating power of the great outdoors. Alongside her love for outdoor pursuits, Jen also finds fulfillment in quieter moments spent baking, engaging in creative crafts, and enjoying card games with friends. These activities reflect her well-rounded and grounded approach to life, balancing professional dedication with personal interests and meaningful connections.
