Prior to Open Sky, Julian gained experience as a mentor for the Boys and Girls Club. He was a founding father of a service-based organization at UCCS that mentors young college students taking active roles in the community. He also spearheaded other volunteer and philanthropic ventures. I’ve also spent lots of time spent in the wilderness!
Julian was drawn to working at Open Sky by the way it melds traditional therapy with mindfulness practices, healthy food, and wilderness healing. The Open Sky model aligns closely with Julian's beliefs on how healing can most effectively be achieved. As a senior guide, Julian values the opportunity to create a safe and challenging environment for students to be able to heal as well as grow. He is passionate about his work and deeply cares about the people he works with. Another of Julian's strengths is the humor he brings to the team.
During his time off, Julian loves to spend time with friends, create art, ski, go on adventures, hike, and bike.
