Mandy moved from Monument, CO to Durango to attend college in 2007. She began her education at Fort Lewis College and finished at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration in 2012. After living on the Front Range for a few years, Mandy was drawn back to the beautiful town of Durango in 2014 and has called it home ever since. Since completing college, Mandy has worked as a property claims adjuster, pre-school teacher, medical receptionist, and family advocate at a pediatric office. Through her experience working these different occupations, she has developed a passion for working with children and their families.
Mandy was drawn to Open Sky because of her love of nature and its profound abilities to teach valuable life skills. Her passion for helping children and their families and her administrative and medical background both play a role in her position. Mandy is excited to learn as much as there is to learn about Open Sky and what it has to offer.
When she’s not at work, Mandy enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, camping, fly fishing, and mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the winter. Mandy also tries to go back to Monument to visit her family as much as possible.
