Robert worked at a residential program in Denver for two and a half years before joining the Open Sky team. When he began to feel burn out, he pursued a working environment that would be healthier for both himself and the students he works with. He found that in wilderness therapy.
As a Senior Field Guide, Robert values the opportunity to be creative in his role. He brings together different aspects and experiences of his own life to create a unique experience for the students he works with. His ability to stay calm and collected in stressful situations contributes greatly to the guide team.
In his time off, Robert likes to hike the Four Corners area, travel to Denver to visit friends, or go on long road trips to explore different national parks.
