Rochelle Bochner joined Open Sky in January 2018. As Alumni Relations Director and an alumni parent of an Open Sky student, she values the opportunity to connect with other alumni families and students, encourage continual healing, and celebrate growth and achievement.
Rochelle’s son graduated from Open Sky in 2009. Following her son’s experience, Rochelle yearned to make wilderness therapy available and achievable for anyone, especially to those for whom cost was a barrier. In 2010, she co-founded Sky’s the Limit Fund, a non-profit organization that provides grants and other services to families in crisis so they can safely get their child to a wilderness therapy program. Based in the Silicon Valley, Sky’s the Limit Fund has assisted hundreds of families across the United States. Rochelle served as the executive director of Sky’s the Limit Fund for 6 years and remains actively involved as a member of the board of directors. In addition, Rochelle has served on numerous non-profit community boards and is a member of the Junior League of Palo Alto, where she served on the board directors several times and served at the President from 1998-1999.
A native Californian, Rochelle was born in San Francisco and raised in the Silicon Valley. Rochelle has lived for the past 35+ years in Los Altos with her husband Steve and has two grown children. When Rochelle has free time, she loves to be in Lake Tahoe (the summers are the best time), travel with her hubby, play with her amazing grandchildren, and continually strives to achieve the ever-elusive perfect golf score.
