Zoe Vlastos, BS

Senior Guide

Zoe has experience studying neuroscience and psychology; working in residential treatment, day treatment, and camp settings for youth; and adventuring in the wilderness of Colorado and South America. These experiences led her to believe in the power of wilderness to heal, empower, and connect. Open Sky's commitment to values, to including the family, and to caring for the whole person - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually - aligns with who she is and what she believes in.

Zoe values the opportunity to be in relationship with the beautiful humans who come to this program. She finds herself awed and inspired by the challenges being faced and the brave work being done. She is flexible, passionate, caring, and a lover of learning. She's a natural leader and listener.

During her time off, she greatly enjoys adventuring in the mountains by rock climbing, trail running, skiing, hiking, backpacking, and mountain climbing. In addition, she loves to cook, partner dance, play the piano, share time with friends, have deep conversations, eat chocolate, and travel. She combined many of these interests when she spent a month studying tango in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
