Winter Meditation Intensive

Jake George | Marketing Specialist

Friends of Open Sky:

As we have had the great pleasure of working together in the past, through Open Sky’s Wellness Weekends, graduations and/or the Family Quest experience, I wanted to reach out and invite you to a special meditation winter retreat experience in Crestone, Colorado.

As many of you know, the practice of meditation has been central in my ability to work as effectively as I have in the field of wilderness therapy. Research continues to emerge on the efficacy of meditation practice for improved physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Self-care has many forms and carving out time for oneself to experience retreat and deep meditation practice is one of the strongest declarations and actions one can make toward that end. When you go into retreat, you are saying that you are committed to your own deepening and unfolding as a human being.

I am honored to co-lead the Winter Meditation Intensive at the Blazing Mountain Retreat Center in Crestone, Colorado. This event will be held from December 11, 2016 – January 8, 2017. Participants may join us for one, two, or three week segments, or for the full month.

Session dates are as follows:

  • Week 1: December 11 – December 18
  • Week 2: December 18 – December 25
  • Week 3: December 25 – January 1
  • Week 4: January 1 – January 8

The Blazing Mountain Retreat Center will be offering shuttle service from the Denver Airport for the scenic, four-hour drive to Crestone. With the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the backdrop, Blazing Mountain offers comfortable lodging, nutritious meals, and a unique environment for deep, undisturbed, and undistracted spiritual exploration. Space is limited. Please take a moment to learn more about the retreat.

Winter Meditation Intensive participants will have the opportunity to deepen their most vital connection; the connection to oneself. If you’ve never done anything like this before, I invite you to leap! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I hope to see you in Crestone!
